Looking for a fun and safe morning class this summer?  Have you ever been to Pioneer Village?  Join the Junior Artist and Scientist Club for one of our two day sessions where we will investigate nature at the Pioneer Village in Salem.  We will build bird feeders, make a UV reactive bracelet or necklace, make a sun print, create a life terrarium and learn about common herbs from the garden.  Mr. James and Mr. Matt would love to spend two mornings with you learning and having fun.  Be prepared for outside and getting messy.  Sunscreen, bug spray and clothes that can dirty are recommended.  Children should bring their own water bottle and mid morning snack.

 Monday & Tuesday, July 27th and 28th ( Wednesday, July 29th will serve as a rain date)
Time: 9:00am -11:00am

Price: $70.00 for the 2 day session, includes all supplies

Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services is following all guidelines and regulations set forth by the state and our local health department with regards to COVID-19.  Please read through all the information listed and required documents.

- Parents are asked to read the Operational Plans for Summer Programs and the Plan for Isolation and Discharge of a sick child.
- Participants and staff must wear face coverings at all times. During the program if participants are at least 6 feet apart, Instructors will allow children to lower their face covering for a break.
- Social distancing will be enforced.
- No shared equipment.  Children's supplies will be bagged individually.
- Each child is required to have a Daily Health and Wellness Check completed each day.  Parents should fill this out at home and be ready to present it at drop off each day.. Park and Recreation staff will be there to review the check list, sign off on it, and then admit your child to the program.  I am attaching the form for you to print out and use on a daily basis.

- Drop off and pick up will be at the entrance to Pioneer Village
- Parents are required to fill out the attached registration form and the COVID-19 waiver form.  Please print these out and return the completed form to Park and Recreation.  These forms must be on file prior to the start of the program.  You can scan the completed forms to kmccarthy@salem.com
If you have already filled these out for another Park and Recreation program you do not need to fill them out again.  We can use what is on file.

- Please note on the registration form that we are required to add permission to dispense hand sanitizer.  Your child is welcome to bring their own, but may not share with others.
