Salem is now offering the first youth pickleball program on the Northshore and will provide the basics of this life-long activity. Lessons will be designed with fun filled activities for youth ages 10-15 as they learn to play pickleball and gain some fundamental skills of the sport, including forehand and backhand, volley and serve. We had such a great response to our summer Playground Crafts and Fun, we decided to try it after school during October.Park and Recreation staff will be available to offer a traditional playground craft and a non contact game or activity. Craft supplies will be individually bagged, so there is no sharing of equipment. Salem is now offering the first youth pickleball program on the Northshore and will provide the basics of this life-long activity. Lessons will be designed with fun filled activities for youth ages 10-15 as they learn to play pickleball and gain some fundamental skills of the sport, including forehand and backhand, volley and serve. We had such a great response to our summer Playground Crafts and Fun, we decided to try it after school during October.Park and Recreation staff will be available to offer a traditional playground craft and a non contact game or activity.
